The Design Evolution of Friends
We thought it’d be interesting (and embarrassing) to share how we ended up with the look and feel that Friends has today, so we made a video. Enjoy!
Just in case you hadn’t already heard, we launched Friends yesterday. Be sure to grab it from the App Store today!
Say Hello to Friends for iPhone
A little over a year ago, we realised that your friends were everywhere; Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and LinkedIn. We set ourselves a goal to bring together all of these popular social networks into one amazingly beautiful app, the result of which is Friends for iPhone and iPod touch. We are very pleased to announce that you can get it today for only $1.99 on the App Store!
Your Friends
See what all your friends are saying on Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and LinkedIn. If you’d prefer, you can view one social network at a time.
Your Address Book
Magically sync all your friends with your Address Book, providing effortless access to their profiles, photo albums and contact information.
Friends ♥ Facebook
Enjoy the best Facebook experience; Comment, Like, read your news feed, flick through photo albums, post on your friends’ walls and much more..
Friends ♥ Twitter
We support all the features you’d expect from an awesome Twitter app; Retweets, favorites, Instapaper, in-line attachments and much more.
It wouldn’t be right to launch an app as amazing as Friends without giving away some awesome prizes. You could win either the ridiculously tiny Apple TV, the revolutionary iPad or the grand prize, the stunning MacBook Air. That’s not all! Should 10,000 people enter the competition, the amazing (believe us) mystery prize will be unlocked to win. To enter, simply head on over to the Friends giveaway.
Transatlanticism

From January 1st 2011, Taptivate will be based in San Francisco! We are unbelievably excited for the move and can’t wait to get there. I won’t bore you with the details of moving a UK company to the USA, but I can tell you it has been a year-long process that resulted in a 300 page folder of evidence. If anyone is in a similar situation, feel free to get in touch for advice.
During 2010 we sold 700,000 copies of our apps and grew from a team of 1 to a team of 4. I’m certain 2011 will be an even better year. We still have one last hurrah planned for 2010, which we will have news on soon. Let’s just say it’s only a matter of days until a certain awesome app is released!
